Dear colleagues:
As announced in July 2018, the New York Art Resources Consortium
(NYARC), in partnership with the Internet Archive, has received an
Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Leadership
Grant in Curating Collections. The grant, entitled /Advancing Art
Libraries and Curated Web Archives: A National Forum

will facilitate collaboration among art libraries and museums for the
creation of collections of web-based art resources for scholarly use.
During the first phase of the grant, project staff are conducting a
community survey to determine the current practice and attitudes about
web archiving in art libraries within the United States and Canada,
with the objective of identifying areas for discussion, training, and
education at our national forum and related workshops/meetings. The
anonymous results of the community survey will be made publicly
available in fall 2018 as a published summary report, in conjunction
with a short literature review that covers publications about web
archives in art library and museum settings.
_Please note that no prior experience with web archiving is necessary
to participate in the survey and we especially welcome feedback from
those who are interested in getting involved._
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and it will
remain open until Saturday, _October 6th, 2018_.
