Greetings, The Smithsonian is seeking an early- to mid-career digital content writer and coordinator with a proven track record in writing for, and reaching, diverse audiences for the Smithsonian’s American Women’s History Initiative’s<https://womenshistory.si.edu/> (AWHI). The Digital Audience and Content Coordinator will help execute AWHI’s digital strategy which has a key goal of sharing a more diverse American women’s history, as well as leveraging Smithsonian collections and scholarship to increase the representation of women online.
The duties include: · working across the Smithsonian’s museums, libraries, and research centers to aggregate scholarship, collections, exhibit and programs information, and educational materials about American women’s history; · reaching AWHI digital target audiences – middle school students, college students, and women and girls of color – with content on American women’s history; · and creating original text and multimedia stories for AWHI web and social media platforms #BecauseOfHerStory.
