Happy Tuesday, everyone. I wanted to attempt a quick poll to measure how much digital content museum's have to store and manage. This may turn into a more formal and lengthy survey at some point, but I am just looking for high level numbers at this stage. Please include your institution in your response so we can gauge relative scale. Thanks!
What is your current server capacity for storing images and/or video? Do you have a growth plan for expanding capacity on a regular basis? By how much and how often? Are there any unique challenges your institution faces related to storing and managing media files? Thanks for taking the time to respond! -Travis *Travis Fullerton* Director of Imaging Resources *Virginia Museum of Fine Arts* 200 N Arthur Ashe Boulevard Richmond, VA 23220-4007 T 804.340.1538 www.vmfa.museum _______________________________________________ You are currently subscribed to mcn-l, the listserv of the Museum Computer Network (http://www.mcn.edu) To post to this list, send messages to: mcn-l@mcn.edu To unsubscribe or change mcn-l delivery options visit: http://mcn.edu/mailman/listinfo/mcn-l The MCN-L archives can be found at: http://www.mail-archive.com/mcn-l@mcn.edu/
