***#ARCSConf 2019 Registration is Now Closed*** Registration is now closed for #ARCSConf 2019 in Philadelphia, PA. Each conference gets bigger and more popular, and we’re so glad our programming resonates with you. We look forward to connecting with you in Philadelphia!
***New ARCS Strategic Plan Announced*** ARCS is pleased to share with you its first strategic plan for 2019-2023. The plan is available on the ARCS website. During the process of developing this plan we updated the mission statement, vision, and core values of ARCS, and developed a commitment statement to you, our members. We have already started to implement this plan with a restructuring of our committees. And we need your help and expertise to drive the work of these committees. Please see this formal call for nominations to join our committees. The board has also started a review of the ARCS bylaws, which will be sent out for our members' approval in early 2020. Regular membership surveys are being developed so that we can better understand your needs and provide the resources that help you do your best work. The ARCS board looks forward to continuing to serve our members and to seeing many of you in Philadelphia. https://www.arcsinfo.org/about ***#ARCSChat is Back!*** A generous pour from that fresh box of nondescript "table" wine (no one's judging) waits atop your well-worn copy of Museum Registration Methods 5th Edition for the first Tuesday of every month like the horizon waits to embrace the setting sun. Feeling nostalgic for those Tuesday evenings spent online with your registration colleagues from afar? We got you covered as #ARCSchat returns on September 3 at 8pm EST. Topics this season will stay true to our focus on continuing education, but will also go in deep on various aspects of career management and current events, all with a bevy of special guests. Like the finale of last season, we will continue with the YouTube Live video format. Robin Kilgo (@ARCS4all/@rbkilgo) is joined by Amanda Robinson (@ARobKabob) and John Robinette (@CargaLatina) as the panel chats live. Sign into your Google account to chat live, or ask your questions before and during via the @ARCS4all social media channels and forum with the hashtag #ARCSchat. If you miss the discussion, fear not! The chat will be available as a podcast, found where you get all your favorite podcasts like Spotify, Stitcher, and iTunes. That's right, we just created a podcast for registrars! In September the panel returns with special guest Toni Kiser, ARCS vice-president and lead #ARCSconf 2019 organizer. We’ll discuss in detail the biannual event slated for November 7 – 9 and Toni will unveil exclusive conference information that you won’t want to miss! See you online in September. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbWS9tXKHo0fAVrtOHjktJg ***#ARCSConf Student Travel Stipend *** ARCS is pleased to provide resources and programs for all persons who work with and support collections with two student travel stipends of $1000 each.
