Good Afternoon All, My name is Alex Kron, and I am the Digital Projects and Collections Specialist for Balboa Park Online Collaborative (BPOC). BPOC is working on a project to address the challenge that many museums do not follow a formal request for proposal process (RFP) to select their Collections Management System (CMS). The results of this project will be guidelines for a basic RFP process that will include an RFP template.
As part of the discovery phase, we are interviewing museums who are currently or intend to select a new CMS, or who are opinionated and want to share their thoughts.
