Hello, I hope everyone is well and taking care. Listen to this...
If you are free, I warmly invite you to join us LIVE via Zoom for Considering.Art™ : Considering Sound, tonight 7- 8:30PM EDT. Excitingly - we are attempting something rather experimental... Registration is FREE and open to all: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/considering-art-considering-sound-registration-124953678817?aff=Tonight Transforming ourselves from viewers to listeners and through interaction with audio compositions, we will explore our individual roles in meaning-making and our own faculties of interpretation. What emotions do we privilege from what we hear, through association and based on certain sound textures, vibrations and rhythms? When listening to a recording of a person speaking or singing, what aligns us or isolates us from the voice-as-identity? Are there different types of listening that we can engage in to better understand and appreciate what we hear? And finally, in experiencing a sense-specific artwork, how can inclusion and accessibility play a greater role not just in how an artwork is experienced but how it is made? (This immersive experience is best enjoyed using headphones/earbuds, however these are not required. Closed captions will be provided). We look forward to hearing from you all online later today. All the very best, Mark Team - Considering.Art™ Free + Live + Interactive Tours Every Wednesday at 7PM EDT -- Considering.Art™ Your voice. Your idea.
