This is a brand-new role on my forming Digital team. The Digital Product
Manager will oversee the technical evolution and development of The
Huntington’s public-facing digital product portfolio, currently comprised of
our main Drupal-based huntington.org website, as well as a constellation of
supporting digital properties based on a range of technologies, including
online collections websites emuseum.huntington.org and hdl.huntington.org,
several educational curriculum websites, two e-commerce websites
thehuntingtonstore.org and tickets.huntington.org, and mobile-app based audio
tours. We envision a future with a streamlined suite of digital products that
unify, disseminate, and celebrate the rich and diverse content housed with our
library, art museum, botanical gardens.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies and web
developers, the Digital Product Manager will help develop and then own The
Huntington’s overall public-facing digital roadmap and manage the technical
execution of those plans to ensure the development of world-class digital
products that advance our mission. The Digital Product Manager will work
alongside our existing website managers and content producers to manage the
technical tools that help them do their job and deliver quality content about
our collections.

The ideal candidate has a user-centric approach to product development, a
strategic mindset, a collaborative and collegial demeanor, strong analytic and
management skills and a track record of delivering successful content-rich
websites in a cross-functional organizational structure, preferably for
cultural organizations or digital media outlets. The successful applicant will
not need to be a coder or a developer themselves, but should be a big picture
thinker who is extremely comfortable with technology and web development
concepts and enjoys rolling up their sleeves, is comfortable operating within
complexity, is a proactive and creative problem-solver, and has a passion for
connecting new and diverse audiences to the arts, humanities, and science
through the power of technology.

Salary commensurate with experience - $90,000-$135,000. I realize this is a
very wide band but this is a new role on a new team so we expect to tweak the
job to match the right applicant.

Let me know if you have any questions.
