You might recall past emails where I mentioned I am working on a set of plugins
to make MCollective easy for those using Puppet 4 AIO packages.
This plugin set is looking really good and I think it's near version 1.0 soon,
it includes:
* A playbook system to run complex workflows
* A open source runner for the PE Multi Node catalogs
* A new security plugin that uses the Puppet CA for security and makes it
real easy
to set up new users
* A new connector that is using the NATS.io middleware thats fast and light
weight
* Configures the Policy Auth AAA system by default in a default deny
configuration
* Installs many common agents everyone installs anyway such as Puppet,
Package, Service
* Makes everything easy to configure through Hiera data
A major focus is on ease of use, I've heard reports of people installing entire
clustered
MCollective infrastructures from zero in less than 30 minutes. And the outcome
is secure
and end to end encrypted and authorized.
