Mayb some facility to filter outgoing messages allowing to modify any
Header?
This would not only allow him to modify his From: header, ie. a filter
like
"Reply-To: is [EMAIL PROTECTED] => set From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]"
but also allow things like
"Newsgroups: is comp.sys.amiga.misc => set X-No-Archive: Yes"
(which would also be possible, if one could add default custom
headers to each group (hint! ;-))
or with a bit of ARexx also Message-Id: modification for cancel
messages (better would be of course a separate cancel function).

Anyway, I don't see much usefulness in the current account system,
when used by different people, I would rather use a multiuser
filesystem with MD's directory being a multiuser assign for enhanced
safety and security, when used by a single person, being able to use
multiple pop3- and newsservers insinde a single account would be IMHO
much more useful, especially multiple newsservers.

Speaking of newsservers, it would be IMHO better, if MD would use
the selection by message-id instead of the selection by number with
the ARTICLE, BODY, HEAD, etc. commands. This way, the resetting of the
message pointer wouldn't be necessary after changing the newsserver
setting and no duplicates would be downloaded then, but MD would just
be able to continue with the next article after the last one got from
the old server.
