Does the X-face load into the Accounts manager window OK, or do you get a
black square there too?
There is a problem that for some reason you cannot load an X-face when using
a screen greater than 8 bits (HiColor or TruColor).
If you use a Hi/TruColor screen, change to 8 bit and it should load and save
OK. You can then change back to your normal screen.
