In that case you must be referring to the documentation shipped
with the NC package, since the original md-2 docs in Amigaguide
format state the following: (follow the link Windows/New Msg
Window, if I am not completely mistaken the same information is
contained in the quickstart part)

This gadget causes the message to be stored in the �SPOOL folder, it
will, however, *NOT* be sent - neither now, nor later.
You can edit and resend the message at a later point in time, though.
