STRICQ crashed on me earlier, with the "usual" error messages (well, the
ones I usually get) - Software failure with CON, RAM etc....

Anyway, this generally brings down the whole system, and anything you do
causes another component to fail. I was running YAM at the time, and this
caused a similar error. I was also running MD-2, and it was still
downloading articles. I aborted the transfer and closed MD-2, trying to
ensure I wouldn't end up having to download duplicate articles. MD-2 just
froze on me, and I was forced to reboot. I ran MD-2 again a few minutes
ago, and discovered that it had lost all my settings. Just thought I'd
warn you to keep a backup of your microdot.prefs file (other than the
default one, which gets overwritten too quickly).

As a sidenote, my old prefs file (fortunately I did have a backup of it,
though from before I reconfigured everything) opens MD2 with a thin window
border along the bottom, whereas MD2 defaults to having a full height
border. I don't want to change this (I like the thin border better), but
how has this happened because I don't see any options for it? Does anybody
know?

Chris
