Am I missing something here? Need to send a "Word" file?
Since when has Microsoft provided an Amiga version of their
wordprocessor? I could understand if Nigel wanted to send a
"PenPal" or "WordPerfect," or "FinalWriter" file, because each
of them had an Amiga version, as well as a MS/Intel version.
If, OT other H, we were speaking of receiving such a file,
then I could understand the question, as so many a**holes, out
there, think that everyone has and uses MS Windows and MS
Word, and their version of each, that they send their E-Mail
messages in that format, as well as doc files. I, almost,
routinely, received files in MS Word format. I save those in
which I am interested. Then, I start up my WordPerfect for
the Amiga, and load it into that package -- all the embedded
comands may show up as garbage characters, which I will dis-
card, but I will be able to read the text, in its entirety.
Like I said, receiving MS Word stuff, into our Amigas, I
understand. But, sending MS Word stuff, that I do not under-
stand? Nigel, please tell me how you produced a MS Word doc
file with your Amiga?
Regards,
Julian.
