I think it's just the idea that an MD manufacturer is providing an end
to end solution, rather than being something put together by
hobbyists. I agree, MP3 to MD is not a tough concept, but for MD to
live side by side with RIOs and the like it has it has to be as easy
to connect as a RIO. I think the Sharp solution also includes remote
control of the MD recorder, so you don't have to push two buttons at
once. Anyway, at $250 (MSRP) it had better do something fancy!
