Quick question, rather OT and I expect a quick answer will arrive.
Since upgrading to Win98, my system seems to transfer to and
from disk a lot more, and when exiting an application the screen
wallpapers sometimes gradually appears over several seconds.
Is this a sign I need to upgrade the memory (32MB) or videocard
(Diamond Stealth 64 PCI DRAM 1MB). I suspect both need some
attention and will go for a good 3D videocard first and stick another
couple of 16MB Simms in later. The processor is a K6-2/333 so
that isn't the problem.
Just Win98 seems to have a much higher overhead than 95 than I
expected.
