I have a similar mike that I use on a PA system.  It works very well on
the pa system, but I didn't get very good results on the MD.  Besides,
it is mono instead of stereo.   Go ahead and try it.  If it doesn't work
very well, you can always make one for about about $10.  Here is a very
portable one that I designed  and it works quite well for recording to
MD.
