I know, I know, I know, but you have to wait until Thursday at least, if you want
to hear my experience.

It's only a new driver and not a new control panel, so I guess that some strange
behaviours will still be there, but we will see. In addition, a guy in the
newsgroup (de.comp.audio) posted a list of the officially fixed bugs and the
channel exchange (L->R, R->L) in the digital out was one of them, but my DMX (with
the old driver) didn't show a channel exchange when I tested it with a technical
test CD...

I think the biggest problem of the current DMX software situation is that some
bugs only occur on some machines (depending on the OS version or other
installations???) and normally not on those of the Terratec developers.

For example: I have the feeling (I can be fooled by myself) that my DMX is running
better since 10 days. Still with known bugs, but more stable in the overall
behaviour. (The first time I get a real digital zero signal from the test CD
track) All I did with my system in the meantime was deinstalling an expired trial
version of HotDog 5.5 and installing the Word97-Viewer. Don't ask me, how many
DLLs were exchanged by the MS installation without my knowledge...

Ralf

P.S.: Apropos HotDog5.5: If you are thinking about web page design, look for
Dreamweaver 2 from Macromedia.
