Once you calibrate the (in my case Sony MZ-R3) meter against a test signal
from other devices, it does the job. I admit I would rather the 0-100% 20-bar
display along the lower edge of the display would be much better as a level
meter. Any thoughts D?

I think Mir, or rather very hot fragments would fall to Earth's surface. And if
NASA's Salyut (?) station is anything to go by, it would hit quite hard and a
direct hit on Paris would almost certainly result in many casualties (it'll come
in at near 20,000 mph). But then your home is the Netherlands so you don't
care about France really do you Ralph, despite living there now?

Me, I'm a European and love the warmth and harmony which brings all of us
together aka Eurovision. If Paris was hit we'd lose the Eiffel Tower, a wonder
of the world (in Civ II) though personally it looks little more than an overgrown
Blackpool Tower :-P
