I think you're exaggerating the weight of the R50, though.  I mean, I keep 
mine in my right front pocket most times.  It's *very* light, although no, 
it's not *quite* as light as the R55.  I still consider the R55 a step 
*down* from the R50, even despite its weight and added backlit remote.

Get the R50.  It's cheaper.  It's a better unit (unless size matters ;) 
).  You can't go wrong. :)
