Hiya, I received this nearly two months ago and it has been one of those puzzles you just *need* to solve. It relates to football (soccer) in Britain and I'm now throwing it out to you guys. It's sorta like those "yes / no / irrelevant / be more specific" answer problems, except I can't ask any questions! You know like the "Man in the lift", or the "Man who eats a sandwich then throws himself off a cliff". If anyone knows where similar puzzles can be found, I'd love to hear from you, or if you wish to challenge me or vice versa in an email exchange, please contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] ================================ > I've included the whole text of the email we received with the riddle in case there >is a clue in the first two lines. > > ***** > > The following has been kicking around the office all week. > > Do you have any ideas, we are totally stumped. > > What enters the field of play in a football match at half time, but > doesn't leave until the match is over? > If it's a Saturday match it leaves after the game, but if it's a mid-week > game it remains until the next day. > It also only happens in the English Premiership, not in Scotland, or the > lower divisions.
