If you don't have the universal voltage charger that Gary references. I
did alot of research after I was unable to obtain an official cigarette
lighter adaptor for my Kenwood ms200 clone, I found out the cigarette
lighter adaptor from Sharp (or Kenwood) was 4.5 volts. I bought the sony
4.5 volt, 1000 mA adaptor and it worked fine. It charges, you can record
the whole deal. I've been using it for over a year with no ill results.
So a 4.5 volt 1000mA Wall wort should work just as well and is available
in most places that sell audio equipment in the US.

My MS200H came with a universal voltage charger?? Says
120-240V 50/60Hz on it - so it should (and did) work
fine in America.
