I should have spotted this sooner with my dealings with V2. Here is the post
they sent the MD Community Page. You can check it a few issues back on the
list from Mr. Woudenberg. (#338 by my accounts). Click on the address and
send them a test to see if it is a valid V2 address. Unless my server is
really screwed up it will bounce back right away as an undeliverable
address. The address is right below in the From: line.

Subject: Chocolate Genius "Black Music" CD
Below is the letter which was sent to Mr. Mercer and which was posted
on alt.audio.minidisc and emailed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] per
Mr. Mercer's request.
We apologize for taking so long to get back to you regarding your
emails, but we had to obtain information from various sources before
responding to your requests. As we previously informed you, the
mastering for the Chocolate Genius "Black Music" CD album was not
performed by V2's customary mastering labs because it was an enhanced
CD. The flags were encoded by the same lab that did the mastering and
we would not be discussing this issue had the mastering been done by
one of V2's customary labs.
If you email us your address, we will be happy to send to you another
copy of the Chocolate Genius "Black Music" CD manufactured by our UK
affiliate which does not contain any flag which would prevent you from
making first generation copies for home use on an SCMS digital audio
recording device. If anyone else has in the past legitimately
purchased a copy of the "Black Music" CD distributed in the United
States by V2 and would like to exchange it for one that can be copied
on an SCMS recording device, they should, during the next 90 days,
send their purchased copy to "Chocolate Exchange" c/o V2 Records, 14
East 4th Street, New York, New York 10012, together with their return
address.
We are also happy to hereby confirm in this email, as you requested,
that it is our policy to comply with any and all requirements imposed
upon V2 by the Audio Home Recording Act of 1992.
We apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you and
trust this will put to an end the boycott.
Sincerely,
V2 Records, Inc.
- ------- End of Forwarded Message
If this bounces back then V2 won't even send a private post with a real
address.
If this is my mistake let me know. If not I say the terms are they must put
their policy up on their own webpage for the boycott to end. These games on
V2's part must end. If it's my mistake let me know.
Mark
