As long as the subject has been introduced, do all MD units ... and the TOC of an MD itself ... store the year as two digits under the assumption that it is in the range 1990-2089? The MDS-W1 displays a four-digit year, but when you set the current date the year must be within that range. When the MDS-JE520 calculates a day of the week, it seems to assume that the year is within that range. (I have some trashed TOC entries on the very first disc I recorded, and some dates set by the MZ-R3 have been mangled to 2013 or 2070.)
