Sony is set to release the MXD-D1 4X unit here in the states in the fall
(October-November) time frame. I work for Sony and we received the info
on this piece awhile ago. It does indeed do UP TO 4X dubbing depending
on the CD itself with no loss. It is a killer unit and it will retail
for $399.
