Hi all, I would like to report a successful jogging last night, with no skips on the MZ-R55! I just held the unit in my hand, as suggested by Dan Frakes. My only concern is the effect of sweat droplets on the unit. I noticed that the optical input jack does not have a protection cap, as in my home electronic equipment (DVD/LD player). I wonder if this matters? In fact, none of the jacks have protection from dust or moisture. I guess Sony thinks that the players are to be used in safe conditions (like inside a building). Too bad there is not a SPORTS model yet. I guess I will just have to be careful, or maybe buy a cheap model for jogging (like the $99 special at Best Buy). Today I am going to try the sweat band approach recommended by Tom Fallows. On a positive note, my neighbor asked me what I had in my hand, and he listened to the music and was fairly impressed. I had a hard time getting the unit back from him to start my run! So, I guess this is a good way to show off and be a minidisc evangelist! ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
