Hmm... how technical do you have to be to hack the TOC? Is there software
or source code out there that will do it?
And how much do these drives typically go for on eBay?

The MD Data drives will NOT allow you to read or write audio data with
of them, contrary to what I have read in some EBay advertisements. The
only fun you can have with a standard drive is in audio disc TOC
hacking; you can read and write an audio disc TOC with it.
