Half right.... it can't be sent over the S/PDIF interface, but if you are sneaky
and construct a circuit that simulates the remote control digital interface on a
portable, it is possible to read the characters sent to the remote and thereby get
the title of the disc and track names. Don't ask me how to do this though, I
haven't cracked it yet, and I don't plan to try until I have comminication the
other way working properly.

Perhaps our resident DSP expert can construct somethng, or maybe post a
mathematical equation that will translate the data into ASCII values.... ;o)
