You can make one digital copy from a MD that was recorded analog. If it
was recorded digitally, you cannot make a digital copy of it. You must
make an anolog copy instead. THe R30 will record digitally from another
minidisc. I have done it many times, but the md has to either be an
original or have been recorded analog or SCMS will kick in and not let
you copy it digitally to another generation.
