You summed it all up for me dude. Sony don't make no crap indeed. That's why I'm the proud owner of a Sony MDX-C8900 and it's still treating me well after having it for just over a year, and hell yes, it gets a workout everytime. As for the car audio salesmen, it's rare to find salesmen who can give you an honest answer. The way I see it, you need to do the homework in terms of reading up on the specifications, people's experiences and then considering your own needs, trusting your own ears. After all, you'll be the one listening to it, so it better sound good to you when you get it. Personally, I find the Kenwood and Pioneer units are too flashy. They look like a disco in your console, but the sound is far from what I perceive the Sony units possess. But that's just to my ears. As for the radio, while the performance is great in my Maxima (which uses a diversity system - window antenna as well as an electric antenna - but I only have the electric antenna connected to the Sony), I don't listen to the radio anyway, perhaps once in a blue moon. So in my honest opinion, I picked a great sound over a light show. Do what feels, looks and sounds right to you. That's what I tell my customers. If you do, be sure to translate it. What he is saying is "more commission, more commission, more commission." If you think that in some off beat case he may have a point, (probably not) check out the specs on the two units and see what they say. Another thing to keep in mind is. Sony don't make no crap. ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
