A lot of the Pirates in London have RDS, advertising departments, the
whole lot, and in Stereo.  I can't see anyone wanting to transmit in
mono these days with the reasonable cost of TXs' from some
manufacturers.  Some of them have backup systems so that if the gear is
confiscated during a swoop from the UK Communications Agency, they can
be back on air within hours sometimes minutes.
