One possibility, as Ralph has said, is that the burning software that Yann
uses converts the format transparently to the user.
Another is this: exactly *where* does the CD play perfectly? In a CD-ROM
drive on a computer with a program that plays assorted formats of audio
files, or in a regular CD player? If the former, it might not have been
converted at all and might be stored on the CDR as a .wav.
