Subject: MD: Sharp 831 (yes! again)

    Howdy,
I recently picked up the new Sharp 831 that came out not too
long ago. I've noticed something about it and i'd like to
know if any other people have noticed.
When i open the unit up, i notice that the door opens more
on the right side then the left:
-10/16 of an inch gap on the left side
-11/16 of an inch gap of the right side
A small difference, yes, but quite large for such a small
precision instrument. I'd really appreciate it if other
people out there who have this unit could let me know whether
their units are the same. Simply measure the distance
between the door and the unit itself.
Any help would be great! :-)

HI Noah (and group),
I noticed there is a larger gap on the right of my Sharp MT-831 vs the left
of my unit too. I asked Brian Y. who wrote the detailed comparison of the
Sharp MT-831 and Sony R90 and he mentioned to me that his right side was
bigger in gap too. I also measured it and found that the left side was 10/16
of an inch and the right was 11/16 of an inch. If there are other Sharp 831
users who don't have the gap, please let us know.

Sincerely,
Robert
