That's a little confusing, don't you think. My understanding is that ATRAC
3 is a version of an ATRAC encoder which uses the same ATRAC format as MD,
but does a better job of representing the original sound. Are you telling
me that Sony have now named a format analogous to MP3 under the same name?
Not particularly bright, if true.
