Wayne,
I use the AT822 on all of my field recordings, and it sounds great. It does
an excellent job of capturing "the great outdoors" and the ambience of
concerts etc with great staging detail. Also, the bass rolloff is very
effective, and doesn't mess with the fidelity of the rest of the spectrum.
The only problem is that it's a bit big, and difficult to conceal. I had to
buy the XLR to mini connector separately.
