You were just unlucky. Not something to fix. Just take them back and get
another pair. You'll be happy.
Sounds like the diaphragm in the "clicky" earphone is FUBAR.

Today I got my sony earbuds, I turned them up and its noticably different
from left ear and right...the left sounds horrible you know when your
turning on the stove on and
its making that clicking noise sounds like that...I'm deffiantly taking
these back. I think something is flapping inside of the earbud. Anyone have
a problem like this and fix it? Thanks.
