Well, actually I do use recharges.  After finishing my gumpack worth of
batteries, I decided rechargeables were definitely the way to go -- I
bought some Maxell set I found at Circuit City -- it was pretty much all
they had, and they work pretty well.  I wouldn't be surprised though if I
have to buy new ones in a year or year-and-a-half.

well, like I said I bought the portie on Ebay and the only thing that came
with it was the jacket/case.  No instruction manual, no box, etc. I did
come with a nifty sampler disc though. And I did notice the "charge" right
next to "Stop" but have no idea how it would charge or where I would get
the equipment to do so.   Now that I have the Maxell recharges, is it even
worth it?

the Prince, I have an even older R3.

The E40 does have a charging circuit also.
