Yes with the coaxial/optical daughterboard, you can either connect
the digital coaxial out to the digital coaxial input of a deck with
digital coaxial input or connect it using a coaxial to optical
converter which connects to the optical input of a deck.

Both are digital and there are people that 'think' coaxial is
better than optical or visa versa. No proof has yet been found which
one is the bitter (Bits are bits).
Decks with both coaxial in and out seem to be more expensive in
general. However, the optical cable to connect two devices optical is
more expensive than coaxial cable.

I would suggest a deck with both optical in/out and coaxial in/out. This
way you can connect your SBLive! using the coaxial i/o and a CD-player
using optical i/o.
