As far as output goes from what i've read if you are using a digital out,
make sure the sampling rate is at 44, going to 48khz actually can cause a
downgrading of sound because the MD recorder has to downsample the data
coming into it.  At least this is what i have read.  Besides that if you are
using mp3's try and keep it above 128(minimum) for anything worth listening
to :)
