Hey, how bout we call a truce and drop this dialog. We aren't proving
anything and we are getting a lor of people mad.
You can interpret this stuff anyway you choose, but if a cop has a
different opinion, just like many on this list, he will write you up for
it and then you will have the hassle of proving your point to do judge.
Case in point, I made a left hand turn at an intersection in front of a
police station. A cop pulled me over and gave me a ticket for making a
prohibited left turn.
I told him it wasn't a prohibited left turn, but he gave me the ticket
any way. I took pictures of the intersection, the signs from all
angles, called up the local Department of Transportation and had them
fax me a copy of the work order that put the no left trun signs up. the
instructions to the traffic sign installers cofirmed that the turn I
made was not prohibited.
I went to the precint station to show them the information I had, and
they said I had to tell it to the judge. so, I had to schedule a court
appearance, take time off work, pay for parking and wait in the court
room until my case was calle.
Well I won, but I still had the hassle.
So, youse guys can take your pick, but the cop may not agree with you
and you will have a hassle whether or not you win.
So, let's all drop this, huh?
