Corrections-
Balanced is not digital - Balanced is a type of analog
connection. However, an AES-EBU digital connection uses the
same XLR cable for transfering. But this does not mean that the
two are the same.
Unbalanced is also not digital - It is a coaxial analog
connection (RCA's, 1\4", etc...) A digital connection that uses and
RCA jack will be strictly labeled S/PDIF COAX digital.
