Hi all,

I have a Sony Neige MD that has been recorded three times over. Before each
recording, I did an "All Erase" to clear the TOC. While trying to do a name
stamp on the third recording on a Sharp 831, I got a "Can't Readu" error
message. So I put the MD in a Sony 930 deck to title the disc name only.
Thereafter, I could name stamp all the track titles without a problem on the
831. While listening to the first track:
1. Consistent sound dropouts on the 831
2. No sound dropouts on the 930 deck
3. No sound dropouts on the MZ-R50

I'm stumped. Does anybody have an explanation for this?

On another totally different recording done on a TDK MD. The total opposite
happens. When playing the last track:
1. No sound dropouts on the 831
2. Sound dropouts on the 930 deck
3. Sound dropouts on the MZ-R50

Again I'm stumped....
