first:
if your head unit doesn't have an aux in, and it's a cd (not tape)
you've only got two choices. 1. use a small radio transmitter
which you can pickup at BestBuy, RadioShack, or a number of other
stores. The downside to this is they are cheaply made, and drift
enough to quickly become unusable. 2. get an MD changer and feed
it with an RF modulator, through your anttena. (this will work
better)
second:
are you recording the discs, digitally or analog? From the description
I'm guessing you're doing analog recording. The hiss could be from
using poorly shielded cables. If the hiss is high enough then it
could preent the MD player from recognizing that there is a pause
between tracks, and consequently not put the track mark in...
