Darn' I gotta learn to type. The plug in power on the minidisc recorders in
a high impedance source and it will not be damaged by plugging in a battery
powered mike. I don't recall if the Sharp has an analog line in like the
Sony, but as Magic says you can also plug a battery powered mike into that,
and as Magic says, there maybe not be enough volume from the mike, depending
on the mike.
But in any case it will work OK and not damage anything if you plug it into
the Sharp MD recorder.
If you are handy, and want to make a stereo mike, you can try the one I
designed. http://www.tir.com/~liteways/Mandolin.html#Microphone
The materials cost about $10 and it works well.
