        sales volume? or phisical volume? The only thing that could be
less obvious than on CDs is the internal media handling; CDs are pretty
easy to manipulate due to its shape, but MDs only need a clever design,
and with a similar charger phisical volume, we'll end up with even higher
capacities. 

But it seems that Sony doesn't want to let the MD market grow;  come on,
what's easier, MD recording or CD recording? The most practical format,
the MD, can't be beaten on terms of manageability, convenience, and size
by any of the rest of media... but needs at least an effort equal to CD
gear. Sony seems to think that MD potential public is only fancy portable
units, or single home decks.
