I've been reading with interest the prices for blanks being quoted on
this list and I have to say I'm amazed. I live in Ireland and in 90% of
cases America always has stuff for cheaper and sooner than we do. However,
for over a year now I've been able to go into Richer Sounds (a hi-fi shop)
and buy blank MDs for 99p, which equates to $1.21!! It would seem that that
price is something of an amazing offer in America etc, but over here I would
never pay any more than that. That said most other shops have decided that
"professional" blanks can be priced at anything from �3 - �5, but as we know
there's no difference that the average consumer would notice. The blanks I
get for 99p have been: Sony, TDK, Arita and most recently Hi-Space. I've
never had a problem with any of them.
Just thought I'd mention this as it is the first case of Ireland being
cheaper than America that I can remember!!
