"I find the beep to be one of the most dismally annoying things the Sony
units have," it was said. I don't really mind the beeps too much, but it
should be able to be disabled. What's odd is that I have a Discman from
about 5 to 7 years ago, and this feature is able to be turned off there.
What changed?
