I say forget it. My MZ-R55 came with such a remote, and after a week I
confined it to a drawer after I bought better headphones. Besides, it
bugged me that the weight of the remote tugged on the earbud. I think
you'll find in real day-to-day use you wont need it.

PS: My local Comet store had multipacks of 12 Sony coloured 80min discs for
24.99ukp yesterday. Best price I'd seen so far.
