Hi Rick,
You may be right. I assumed that since Sony's press release called the
ZS-M35 a "portable" unit, it would be battery powered. If it's not, the
marketing geniuses at Sony need to have their collective noggins examined
for calling an AC-powered stereo a portable unit. Or maybe it comes with a
veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long power cord. ;-)
I ask again, just to hear the sound of my own whinig: Why hasn't Sony made a
real U.S.-spec battery-powered boombox? Am I the only person in the world
who enjoys listening to ambient music at the beach, in a hotel room, by the
pool, etc? This really is unforgivable. MD was introduced eight years ago
-- surely the format is mature enough for a product I would have expected by
the third generation. It really is a no-brainer.
Take care,
Dale
