I seek urgently an MZ-R50 service manual (what I could find is only the part list and some diagrams on www.minidisc.org). I have a MZ-R50 MD which stopped recording recently. It has been diagnosed at Sony authorized service center as "laser not giving enough power to record". Playback is fine. They want to charge me around PLN 950 ($240) parts and labour. Since I smell something fishy here, I would like to do some diagnostics firs. That is why I need a service manual. Anyone willing to help?
