So I did some editing in my JE520 and ejected the disc, letting the edited TOC get written. It was one of my oldest, most used discs. I put the disc into the W1 and got "C14 error." Same thing in the other slot of the W1, same thing back in the 520, "disc error" in the 500. Damn. I had a printed listing of all the tracks on the disc except the couple I had just added, and I still remembered those, and they were all from my CD collection -- nothing live, nothing off the radio -- so I could have rerecorded it all from scratch if necessary, but it would have taken a lot of time and effort. But my AM-F70 could still read and play the disc! I dirtied the TOC in the F70 and let it write. The F70 recovered it all. The disc even survived further writes in the 520. ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
